Wednesday 24 June 2026--Today's excursion is to Anchorage Provincial Park. If I can't see puffins, I'm going to see feral rabbits. I discover that there's a mile-long trail from the park to Red Point, and so go for a walk. The path is wide and well-maintained, either gravel or boardwalk the entire length. Along the way, I am approached by a red squirrel, obviously too accustomed to human presence, looking for a handout. I have nothing to give him.
I get fish and chips for dinner at High Seas Convenience, and eat on their deck looking out over Seal Cove. Then pints and footy at the brewery. It's Scotland vs Brazil this evening, and we have a genuine Scot in attendance, in kilt and sporran, along with his Canadian wife. Unfortunately, the Scots repeat their defensive gaffe of the previous match, yielding another very early goal. It doesn't really matter--they're outclassed by the Brazilians, 3-0. I do not doubt that the Tartan Army will have a good time this evening, anyway.
